Review of Defying Gravity

There is something of a sub-genre of gay movies of the conflicts within a relationship when two men are at different stages of self-acceptance and coming out to the larger community.  In the case of Defying Gravity, the setting is a college campus in the midst of a crisis of gay bashing.  This film portrays that theme as well as most, but it offers a highly predictable ending that seems a bit contrived.

Still, if you are relatively new to the concept of gay movies, this is a fine way to spend an hour and a half, and the characters are likeable enough.
