Maturity reigns in this touching, perhaps heart-wrenching Italian film.  At its core it examines the commitment of a fulfilling gay relationship and the pain that sometimes accompanies investing mature love into a coupling.

Just as important as the study of such love is the examination of the  threads of friendship that weave the tapestry of a diverse community.  Each group of people has a core value which serves as the glue.  Often that value is personified in a unique, giving human being.  The greatest test of the strength of a family of choice is how it handles a sudden vacuum at that core.
