Review Of Slutty Summer
Here’s the standard blurb on this gay movie:
Heartbroken after a painful breakup, a gay New York writer (writer-director Casper Andreas)
takes a summer job working with his straight female friend (Virginia Bryan) in a restaurant, where every cute
waiter seems like a prospective date. But after following the advice of the most promiscuous guy on the wait
staff (Jesse Archer), he ends up with another romantic problem: He’s fallen hard for a hunky Welsh model (Jamie
Hatchett).
If you’re looking for a film that won’t make you think too much, you may have stumbled onto a perfect
fit with Slutty Summer. This TLA release will not be that memorable after the
first few days, but it is a notch above their standard fare.
All the pieces are there for a relaxing evening–decent acting, direction and writing, although none
of the artists are overly inspired or inspiring. Still, it’s a nice “cuddle up” movie exploring the
benefits of either long term commitments or one night stands. Guess which wins out?
